Strong Communities Begin with Economic Dignity
Poverty and economic exclusion remain significant drivers of inequality for women in Northern Malawi. When women lack financial independence, they are more vulnerable to abuse, less able to invest in their children's education, and have limited power within their households and communities.
EWDO's Community Support program addresses this by building savings groups, connecting women to microfinance, and delivering practical livelihood skills that generate income and build long-term resilience.
We also support broader community development — working with village leaders, local government, and community groups to address issues like water access, food security, and social cohesion.
